A brainstorm of different shower ideas.

Tupperware shower - look up tupperware in the phone book to find your local representative and have them help you set up a party.  All the shower guests can bring money to pool at the party and the bride chooses which tupperware she wants or the guests purchase the gifts at the party.

The morning after shower - Shower gifts are all things that can be used the day after the wedding, such as house coat, pots and pans to make breakfast, fruit basket, carrier for breakfast in bed, etc. 

Room Shower - Pick a room of the house and all the gifts will be for that room, such as the kitchen, living room, bedroom or bathroom.

Avon Shower - I suggest making sure the bride is an Avon fan, if so, call up your local representative and have them help you plan the shower.

Romantic Evening Shower - Gifts can include various candles, candle holders, DVD's, Bath essentials, lingerie, you get the idea.
