We chose the Hudson's Bay Company for our gift registry.  This way, the registry is available online and at any Hudson's Bay store in Canada.

A Precious Gift From Early TImes . . .

Collin and I were blessed after the wedding with many wonderful things to help with our home.  While many items should be noted, the most special gift was that of my Great Aunt Enid.

Aunt Enid took a trip to Scotland a year before the wedding.  She  purchased a small wooden trunk or box on her journey.  A year later she was invited to the wedding of Collin and me.  She gave us the box as a wedding gift.  Upon opening the box the room was filled with the luscious smells of the eight different woods which were used in making the box.  Upon the bottom lay a piece of paper.  A story of table linen that was embroidered by a family ancestor in the 1830's was written.  The story told of how the linen was passed down the generations and eventually split into smaller pieces.  Under the paper and wrapped in tissue was a piece of that linen.

The linen remains in the box now and with it are various items, including the linen my mother embroidered, from our wedding.
